Animating my illustrations

With a BA Hons degree in animation and professional experience as an animator, I can also adapt my designs to animation projects and offer my own animation services.

I’ve Drawn 2D digital Puppets and Multi-plane backgrounds for animated shorts and advertising and used some of my skills and expertise in animation to create digital paper cut-out inspired animations.

How does it work?

I can provide both 2D drawn and ’cutout’/’puppet’ animation services. I focus mainly on animating animal and nature based designs and projects.

It all begins with the concept! This is where all the big decisions are made and where we can work out what we’d like to happen in our animation.

Once the storyboard and concept is locked down, we can get onto the final backgrounds and character designs. A lot of my nature based animation projects are done using ‘cutout’ animation so I draw my characters with many movable layers so I can animate them like a 2D puppet.

Then we can make it all come alive!
